SSIS Successfully Completes Third Decline Portal Tunnel at SASOL's Shondoni Mine

SSIS successfully completed the installation of a 60 m long decline tunnel at SASOL's Shondoni Mine working with Aveng Grinaker-LTA Mining.

The installation process was well planned and monitored by Aveng Grinaker-LTA Mining with safety their number one priority.  The structure was pre-assembled in sections next to the decline followed by lifting each section in place using a crane.  It took only 5 days for the entire 60m long structure to be installed in the decline.  The structure is to be backfilled next.
